So we woke up today to no electricity! PANIC :( My first thought being that I cannot feed my babies. My brain starts racing and I plan to send Jens off to a local garage, thermos in hand, to get us some boiled water. To add to the joy, both me and little Eva started with colds yesterday and I feel lousy.
But I calm down and manage to get the electricity back on by turning off the electricity and flipping a few trip swtiches. I have absolutely no idea what I am doing but it worked anyway. Panic over, then about an hour after breakfast it goes off again. PANIC!, porridge is in about an hour and again I cannot feed my babies. I call Jens at work and then ring an electrician. They promise to come ASAP. In the meantime I get it to work again, he arrives and it clicks off again. It is a mystery but of course the electrician works it out and the problem is the thermostat for our under-floor heating in the bathroom downstairs. It could have been a lot worse.
There is always something and everything seems to be happening at once. Whiskey's tail being amputated and us having to care for her now for 10 days after the op. Me and Eva being sick (it is just a matter of time until Emilia joins the party) and now the electricity.
But it is sorted and I can relax again and go back to feeling sorry for myself, Eva (who looks very cute with her runny nose) and Whiskey (who doesn't look so cute with her bizarre looking rat's tail).
